D.K. Shivakumar Takes Oath as Karnataka’s 18th Chief Minister.
D. K. Shivakumar was sworn in as the 18th Chief Minister of Karnataka at a ceremony held at Lok Bhavan. He took the oath of office in the name of God, administered by Governor Thawar Chand Gehlot.

Amid loud cheers from party workers and supporters, along with celebratory fireworks, D.K. Shivakumar took oath as Chief Minister at 4:15 PM. Holding a copy of the Constitution of India, he also paid floral tribute to a photograph of Ajjayya Swamiji and invoked the name of his spiritual guru, Veeragangadharacharya, during the oath-taking ceremony.

Following the Chief Minister, several senior leaders were sworn in as ministers, including G. Parameshwara, K. H. Muniyappa, K. J. George, M. B. Patil, Ramalinga Reddy, Satish Jarkiholi, Krishna Byre Gowda, Priyank Kharge, U. T. Khader, Eshwar Khandre, Yathindra Siddaramaiah, Bairathi Suresh, and Sharan Prakash Patil.

The swearing-in ceremony marked the beginning of a new chapter in Karnataka’s political leadership under Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar.
