Traditional Plaster of Paris (PoP) idols harm rivers and lakes when immersed. Eco-friendly idols made from clay, paper, or natural materials dissolve safely and protect the environment.

Materials You’ll Need

• Natural clay or shadu mitti (available in craft shops)
• 
  
• A wooden base or small board
• 
  
• A bowl of water (for shaping)
• 
  
• Sculpting tools (or use spoons, knives, toothpicks)
• 
  
• Natural paints or food colors (avoid chemical paints)
• 
  
• Decor items: turmeric, kumkum, flowers, leaves

Step-by-Step Process

• Prepare the Base
